Episode 304-Let's Talk About Sex

 

Play By Play

The episode starts off by Jenna's dad finding out that she was on birth control. Then with not much resistance from Lacey he calls Matty's parents and leaves a voice mail telling them that their child has been having sex. Next we see that Sadie is the topic of gossip right now and that somehow everyone has found out that she's broke. While finding out that everyone knows her secret Sadie also managed to drop Lissa on the ground. Shortly after we Jenna tells Matty that her dad called his parents and told them that he's having sex. Then we find out that the cheerleading team is going to need an alternite since Lissa.. Sprained a few things. After we get to see our favourite person, Mr.Heart, who introduces the type of relationship Jenna and Collen are going to have. After that Jenna gets some good news, Matty can delete the message, or so he thinks. Then as Jenna is about to eat dinner Matty and his parents arrive and they've heard the message. After that we find out that Tamara is the alternate cheerleader and after sharing her exicting news with Jake she tells him that she's ready to have sex. After the parents finish dissucsing their childs sex lives and things seem fine Lacey mistakingly tells them that she was the one that put Jenna on the pill, which causes alittle havoc. After that we see that Jake tried to make his first time speacil with Tamara the same way he did with Jenna by decking out his mom's mini van. After having a full play by play of what Tamara and Jake telling each other how they want their first time to go, they actually have their first time... Twice! Then at the very end of the episode Matty comes back to the Hamilton's house and asks if he can stay the night.

My Thoughts

Okay so first off I don't understand why Kevin was so upset when he found out Jenna was having sex. I mean he was having sex at the same age as Jenna, plus he bought her condoms. Secondly, I would just like to say that Tamara and Jake are probably the poster couple for a perfect couple. I mean they comunicate well, they show their emotions and they show their love. Thirdly, I wish they showed more friendship between Jake and Matty.

What's Next For Jenna

Matty moves in and is oblivious to the fact that Jenna wants him to move out.

Episode 303-Sure Babe

Hey there Awkward lover's let's start the review for "Sure babe".

Play By Play

So we see Jenna and Matty about a week after Matty sound out about the pregnancy scare and things look tense and stiff. Then Valarie comes and things just get even more funny for us, but probably even more weird for Jenna. Next we see Ming and Tamara talking to Jenna about Matty and her's relationship and the pregnancy scare. After that we see something new, Sadie's sitting alone and Matty comes and talks to her, that is until she gets asked to go to Valarie's office and answer a few questions. Then we find out that Ming has a new boyfriend and not long after that Matty tells Jenna he wants to talk, which calls for major damage control. Next comes my favourite character ever, Becca, who seems even crazier than I remember and she and Ming exchange "friendly greetings". A little while after that we get to see Ming, Henry, Jenna, Matty and Tamara do the "Chinese fire drill" a couple times. Then we find out that Ming has been Asian bitch slapping everyone and that she's still seeing Fred Wo during charades. Later we see Tamara and Jenna talk it out while Matty and Sadie's relationship is developing over the phone. Then Jenna finally gives in and they have "the talk", which consisted of deep heart felt words that just prove how much their relationship as improved.

My Thoughts

I think that this episode was one of the most funniest episodes and I think that the producers are doing really well at making each episode have totally new content. I'm interested to see if Becca will find out about Ming seeing Fred Wo or if Ming will Asian bitch slap the Asians all season. Then I'm also interested to know what family drama Matty's been through, and how his friendship or possible relationship with Sadie will go.

What's Next For Jenna

Tamara and Jake possibly have sex. Everyone finds out that Sadie's parents are broke. Jenna's dad finds out she's having sex with Matty and his parents get involved.

Responsibly Irresponsible(Episode 302)

Hey awkward lover's let get started with this week's review of "Responsibly Irresponsible".

Play By Play

We start this episode off with a reminder from last episode that Ricky is dead. Continuing with the death, Jenna, Matty, Tamara and Jake are at a vigil and we get to see a few characters from previous seasons interact with Jenna. Then we move onto the first day back at school since Ricky's death and everyone is reacting to it in very different ways. Of course everyone is paying their condolences to Sadie since she was Ricky's "girlfriend" but she doesn't seem to really care about Ricky's death. But Tamara seems to be more affected by the death since she's lashing out on everyone but then we find out that she only feels guilty because she thinks her "witch spells" killed Ricky. Then we see that Valarie is overflowing with kids wanting to talk to her about the death and changes her title from "VP" to "GC". Not long after that we see that Jenna is "getting her cervix swapped" and following that Matty shows her that he got a tattoo with her name on it. Here comes the most hilarious part of the night, the confessions on the microphone. Kyle, Sadie and Tamara all make me laugh when they each take their turn on the mic and then after that's done Jenna finally gets to party. Too bad she tells Jake about the pregnancy scare and then Jake tells Matty which results in the night ending with Jenna and Matty fighting.

My Thoughts

Let me start off by saying I really loved that Lacey was helping Jenna out in this episode. I know that alot of parents like to think that sex is "Taboo" for teens, but it isn't. However I'm glad that Lacey is helping Jenna take the precautions because like the poster said, girl's get pregnant, boys don't. So I think it's important, especially as a teen that they show that you don't have to necessarily not have sex till you're married but you do need to take the precautions. Also, I feel like I'm falling on love with all the characters again, Tamara's funniness, Matty's sensitivity, Jenna's Awkwardness, Kyle's craziness, I feel like every character has their own individual thing that makes them hilarious and lovable.

Cha-Cha-Cha-Changes (Episode 301)

Hey there Awkward lovers and welcome to season 3 of Awkward. Without any further adue let's kick start the season with episode 301.

Play By Play

The episode starts off with a recap of the past two seasons and then season 3 officially begins. We start off by seeing Jenna and Matty together just before the first day of junior year begins and Jenna is nervous about school since she hasn't seen Ming or Tamara all summer. Then we see Valarie who is rocking her Europe wardrobe, but apparently she has forgotten about Jenna too. Next we see that Sadie maybe or maybe not be pregnant and Lisa is trying her best to get Ricky back in Sadie's good books. Then we see that Tamara and Jake are in full force honeymoon mode and they're acting like they're one person. After the break we meet Mr.Heart who ironically doesn't have a heart. Then Matty takes Jenna home and we begin to see how close they got during the summer. Finally we see Lacey again and then Jenna's back to blogging. After that we find out that Jenna might be pregnant and turns out she isn't, and neither is Sadie.

My Thoughts

I think that this season awkward will be adding some new twists for us and I'm glad there's 20 episodes this season. Also I love how I can relate to Jenna since I've been through the whole being isolated by your friends thing before. But I hope that Tamara, Jenna and Ming can return to being as close as they were in season 1 even though they're going through their own personal "rama drama". I think that Jenna and Matty are finally friends and not just hook up partners. Jake and Tamara's relationship seems very lovey dovey now and I'm interested to see if they are gonna become more serious later on in the season.

Ricky's death impacts the school in a dramatic way and Matty may find out about the pregnancy scare from Jake.

Episode 210- Pick Me, Choose Me, Love Me

Hey Awkward watchers and welcome to this weeks review of Awkward. This week we saw Jenna become more popular in "Pick me, Choose me, Love me." becuase of her blog being exposed. The episode begins with Jenna finding out that her parents are possibly back tougther? When Lacey refuses to let Jenna drive her car to school seeing as it was spray painted she drives Jenna to school where she finds out that everyone knows she wrote the letter. One thing that I still don't understand is why none of her friends are asking her about her mom writing the letter. Meanwhile, Sadie has her own issues going own and Lisa trys to give her help. Matty and Jake are still not talking to Jenna or each other which only adds to her list of problems. Jake and Matty have a change of heart in french class after watching a movie that relates to their situation and become friends again. However that dosen't change the fact that they both love Jenna and they decide to make her decide who she wants so it dosen't ruin their new lovey frienship. Jenna can't make up her mind and tells them to date each other. Jenna's mom has been getting calls all day saying "How mean she is" and is going on the down low by herself. Jenna goes and bonds with her mom by singing a nurserey rythme her mom use to sing to her.

Jenna gets a do over with both Jake and Matty and finally comes to a desision.

Episode 209-Homewrecker Hamilton

Hey guys and welcome to this week's review of Awkward. Let's get right into it, The episode starts off with Jenna's dad giving her a car as a divorce present? After it shows Jenna, Ming (Finally) and Tamara sitting in Jenna's car analizing the text Jenna got in the morning from:?. I have to say I don't really understand why the writers did that since it looks alittle copy and pasted since it's a Pretty Little Liars trademark. After Jenna tries to talk to Jake who repediatley shuts her down and it looks like Matty isn't doing any better. Matty confronts Sadie about telling Jake and she dosen't hesitate telling him. Which brings us to the showdown between Jake and Matty (We all saw it happen in the promo). Jenna voulenteers herself up to go to the "Wheel of pep" which isn't all that peppy. Jake calls on Matty to come up to and everyone watches as they play a serious game of "Come clean or play dirty". I think it's safe to say that we get to see the other side of Jake in this episode. Jake starts to bash Jenna and Matty steps in and well things just escalaste from that point. Next thing you know Matty and Jake are sitting in Valaries office and she tries to give them alittle "Guidance"? Jenna's waiting outside for them and when they come out she ignores Matty and goes to Jake. Too bad for Jenna that Jake is still pissed at her and Jenna is left alone.Meanwhile Ming is having guy trouble herself when her crush tells her Becca was his ex and she's coming after Ming. Jenna's annomonyous commenter and her have a deep coversation and they leave Jenna with a big question. The next day Jenna comes to school and Tamara tells her everyone knows about her blog, When Jenna goes up to Jake and tells him she never cheated he says she humilated him? Am I the only one that dosen't know what he's talking about? When Tamara asks everyone "Who did it?" Jenna says she did. Then when she walks away she almost gets hit by a car and Sadie yet again announces it to the school.

Time After Time

Hey Awkward watchers and welcome to this week's Awkward review for "Time After Time". Last week the Awkward writers left us hanging last week with a "To Be Continued" but this week deffinatley answers some of my questions. We begin right where we left off, At Aunt Ally's wedding. Jake just found out his girlfriend was with Matty before him and freaks out and dumps Jenna. Jenna dosen't know Jake knows about her and Matty and nethier does Matty which makes Jake's phone call to Matty alittle Awkward. Lacey "Rekindels" her romance with her highschool sweetheart. When Jenna leaves the wedding and goes home and is crying in her bedroom who comes to the rescue? Matty. Matty and Jenna end up having a very good conversation and Matty and Jenna end up making out on her bed. At the very end of the episode after it's shown Matty and Jenna kissing it shows Jake seeing them make out through the window.Duh Duh Dun. Now let's talk about who's the commenter?
I'm starting to think one of Jenna's friends is the commenter prefrably Ming. She's got her mafia that can surley find Jenna's blog and at first I thought it was Matty or Jake but the commenter dosen't seem to be on #teammatty or #teamjake. Questions: Can the Matty and Jake thing happen like next episode? Is their gonna be another mysterious comment? Is someone other then the commenter gonna find Jenna's blog? Why is Ricky saying sweet thing to Tamara when he's with Sadie? #cheater.
